Cute crochet acorn (oak nut) for accessory. You can use any yarn you like, thinner ones for smaller results and thicker for bigger ones. Play with the colors for more fun looking acorn. I don’t think I’ve seen one in real life because it doesn’t grow up where I live, but I saw one on the internet the other day and I found it really cute with the cap on it. Have fun making these!

Any kind of yarn you like (two or more colors)
Crochet hook with proper size
I used 1 mm thick cotton yarn with 2 mm crochet hook

Stuffing
Necklace or keychain (optional)

st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sc2tog – 2 single crochet together
Special terms:
I used the invisible slip stitch/invisible join at the end of cap pattern. You can join with the regular slip stitch instead.
Directions:
The Acorn:
R 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sc)
R 2: 2 sc each st around. (12 sc)
R 3-8: Sc each st around. Stuff your acorn. (12 sc)
R 9: Sc2tog next 2 sts. Repeat until the end of the round. FO. (6 sc)
The Cap:
R 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sc)
R 2: 2 sc each st around. (12 sc)
R 3: *2 sc next st, sc next st* repeat until the end of the round. (18 sc)
R 4-5: Sc each st around, sl st next st. FO leaving long tail for sewing and making the cap handle. (18 sc)
Finishing:
Sew the cap to the acorn then insert your needle inside and take it out in the top middle of the cap. Wrap the yarn around a pin or a large hook then insert the needle again in same place. Secure then cut the remaining tail. Your acorn is ready.
