This week I’ll be sharing this cute crochet baby mittens. Very easy and perfect for gifts. I shared one size but you can easily adjust it by changing the hook size or the thickness of your yarn.

Materials:
Medium thickness yarn with suitable crochet hook
I used “Pamuklu Bebe” yarn with 3.5 crochet hook
Needle
Terms:
MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
hdc2tog- 2 half double crochet together
YO – yarn over
BL – back loop only
Notes:
Adjust the size by changing the hook size or the yarn thickness or both.
Part one of the pattern will be worked in rows and part two in rounds.
Directions:
The mittens pattern:
R 1: Ch 6, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each st. (5 sc)
R 2: Ch 1, sc BL in each st. (5 sc)
R 3 – 16: Repeat R 2.
Closing part one:
Ch 1, sl st through BL of next st of the first side and the remaining loop of the other side. Repeat in each st. (5 sl st)
Don’t FO.
Part two:
First round of this part will be worked in the end of each row of part one. Each end of row will be count as a stitch.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, *2 sc next st, sc in each of next 3 sts* repeat 4 times. Sl st in first st. (20 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (count as hdc), hdc same st, hdc in each of next 4 sts, *2 hdc next st, hdc in each of next 4 sts* repeat 3 times. Sl st 2nd ch. (24 hdc)
Rnd 3: Ch 2 (count as hdc), hdc in each st. Sl st 2nd ch. (24 hdc)
Rnd 4 – 8: Repeat Rnd 3.
Rnd 9: Ch 2, hdc next st, hdc2tog 11 times, sl st in first hdc. FO leaving 6 – 8″ long tail. (12 hdc)
Use the needle to sew the upper part and weave in ends.
The flower pattern:
MR, *ch 2, 3 dc in the ring, ch 2, sl st in the ring* repeat 3 times. FO leaveing 6″ long tail for sewing.
Finishing:
Sew the flower or the buttons if you like to the mittens.
