I always wanted to design a crochet baby pacifier but didn’t know how to make it hold it’s shape. Finally I had an idea to use plastic rings inside it to make hold it’s perfect shape. I’ts supper easy and fun to make.

Materials
I used Pamuklu Bebe with 3 mm hook
Stuffing
Needle
2 Small plastic rings from water bottle (the ones that located under the cap)
Terms
MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sc2tog – 2 single crochet together
Directions
The pattern contains 3 parts. The base, the handle and the pacifier.
The Base
Make two circles using the following pattern. Do not FO after finishing the second one and complete the joining steps.
Rnd 1: MR, ch 2 (does not count as st), 12 dc in the ring, sl st in first dc. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as st), 2 dc in each st, sl st in first dc. (24 dc)
Joining the two circles
Place the two circles together right side out. Make sure the working piece is on top.
Start joining the circles together by slip stitching around using both loops of each layer.
When you reach the half of the circle, insert the plastic ring (see upper right side of the pic)
Complete joining until the end, sl st in first sl st. FO and weave in ends.
The Handle
Slip knot on the hook, start working sc around the second plastic ring until you cover it completely. (see upper lift side of the pic)
Sl st in first sc. FO leaving long tail for sewing.
The Pacifier
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: *2 sc, sc* repeat until the end. (18 sc)
Rnd 4 – 6: Sc in each st. (18 sc)
Rnd 7: *Sc2tog, sc* repeat until the end. (12 sc)
Rnd 8: *Sc2tog, sc* repeat until the end. Start stuffing this part. (8 sc)
Rnd 9 – 11: Sc in each st. Sl st at the end of round 11. FO leaving long tail for sewing. Complete stuffing this part. (8 sc)
Joining the three parts
Using the needle sew the handle to center of the base, then sew the pacifier toe other side as you see in the pic. You’re done!
