If you don’t have cotton rope, you can double any yarn you have to make the basket more solid.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: Using BL, sc in each st. Sl st in first sc using both loops. (12 sc)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, Using BL, sc2tog 6 times. Sl st in first sc using both loops. (6 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc each st. (6 sc)
Rnd 6: Using FL, 2 sc each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 7: *2 sc, sc* repeat 6 times. (18 sc)
Rnd 8: *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat 6 times. (24 sc)
