Crochet Classic Slippers Resizable

In this pattern I’ll show you how to make crochet classic slippers that I’m sure you’ll like. It’s resizable and can be made any yarn with medium thickness.

Materials:

Medium to thick yarn with suitable crochet hook
Needle

Terms:

st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sc2tog – 2 single crochet together
FL – front loop only

Special terms:

Invisible slip stitch/Invisible join

Notes:

This pattern can be made to any size you like. Remember to write the number of stitches and rows you did the first slipper to repeat same steps to the other one.

The pattern contain two parts that we crochet separately and then attaching them together using single crochet as you’ll see.

Directions:

Part one: The under side of the slipper

You need to know the measurement of the length and width of the under side of your foot.

R 1: Crochet a number of chs that are a little bit shorter than your foot width, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc each st.

R 2: Ch 1, 2 sc FL first st, sc FL in each st, 2 sc FL last st.

R 3: Ch 1, sc FL in each st.

R 4 to R before the last: Repeat R 3 until you reach the length of your foot.

Last R: Ch 1, sc2tog FL, sc FL each st, sc2toh FL in last 2 sts. FO and weave in ends.

Part two: The upper side of the slipper

Don’t FO until the end of part two.

♦ Repeat part one until you reach half the length of your foot or a little bit shorter.

♦ Ch 1, sc FL until you reach the middle of the row.

♦ Ch 1, turn, sc FL each st.

♦ Repeat last step until the ribbon become the size you need to turn around the the remaining part as you can see in the pics.

♦ To attach the tip of the ribbon, ch 1, sl st through one loop of each part as you can see in the pic.

♦ We’ll now work on the round upper part. Ch 1, sc around evenly.

♦ Sc in each st of last step.

♦ We’ll now make a little decoration. *Sl st, ch 1* repeat until the end of the round. Sl st at the end. FO and weave in ends.

Joining part one and two

♦ Put part two on top of part one.

♦ Join the yarn by sl st through both layers any place you like.

♦ Ch 1, sc around the slipper, make sure to make 2 sc in each corner (4 corners).

♦ Invisible sl st or the normal one to join. FO and weave in ends.

Repeat same steps to make the other slipper.
