In this pattern I’ll be sharing crochet cupcake. It’s my first time to design one, I hope you like it.

MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sc2tog – 2 single crochet together
YO – yarn over
BL – back loop only
FPhdc – front post half double crochet
BPhdc – back post half double crochet
Directions:
The cupcake:
Rnd 1: MR, ch 2 (count as hdc), 11 hdc. Sl st 2nd ch. (12 hdc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (count as hdc), hdc same st, 2 hdc each st around. Sl st 2nd ch. (24 hdc)
Rnd 3: Ch 2 (count as hdc), BPhdc each st around. Sl st 2nd ch. (24 hdc)
Rnd 4: Ch 2 (count as hdc), *FPhdc, hdc* repeat until the end, FPhdc last st. Sl st 2nd ch. (24 hdc)
Rnd 5 – 6: Repeat Rnd 4.
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc BL each st around. Sl st first st. (24 sc)
Rnd 8: Ch 1, *sc2tog, sc, sc* repeat until the end. Sl st first sc. (18 sc)
Rnd 9: Ch 1, *sc2tog, sc* repeat until the end. Sl st first sc. Stuff. (12 sc)
Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc2tog 6 times. Sl st first st. FO and weave in end. (6 sc)
The icing:
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: *2 sc, sc* repeat 6 times. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: *2 sc, sc, sc* repeat 6 times. (24 sc)
Rnd 5: *2 sc, sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc, sc in each of next 7 sts* repeat twice. (28 sc)
Rnd 6: *Skip next st, 5 sc, skip next st, sl st* repeat 7 times. FO leaving 6 to 8″ long tail.
The cherry:
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: *2 sc, sc* repeat 3 times. (9 sc)
Rnd 3: Sc each st around. Stuff. (9 sc)
Rnd 4: *Sc2tog, sc* repeat 3 times. Sl st first st. FO leaving 4 to 6″ long tail. (6 sc)
Finishing:
Sew the icing and cherry on top of the cake and weave in all ends. You’re done!
