This week I’ll sharing this simple crochet mandala using cluster stitch. You can use it as a coaster or for decorations.

Any kind of medium thickness yarn with suitable crochet hook
I used Pamuklu Bebe with 3.5 crochet hook

MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
C – cluster
sp – space
Special terms:
Invisible slip stitch/Invisible join
Notes:
We’ll be using 2 colors for this mandala. Don’t FO until the end of the pattern, just leave the color you’re not using at the back of your work and exchange when you change the color.
We’ll be using 2 dc cluster and 3 dc cluster.
Directions:
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc, sl st first st. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: Change color. Ch 2, 2 dc C same st, ch 3, *3 dc C, ch 3,* repeat 5 times. Sl st in first C. (6 C)
Rnd 3: Sl st next ch sp. Change color. Ch 1, 5 sc same ch sp, 5 sc each ch sp around. Sl st first sc. (30 sc)
Rnd 4: Change color. Ch 2, 2 dc C same st, ch 2, *skip next st, 3 dc C, ch 2* repeat 14 times. Sl st first C. (15 C)
Rnd 5: Sl st next ch sp. Change color. Ch 1, 4 sc same ch sp, 4 sc each ch sp around. Sl st first sc. (60 sc)
Rnd 6: Change color. Ch 2, 2 dc C same st, ch 3, *skip next 2 sts, 3 dc C, ch 3* repeat 19 times. Sl st first C. (20 C)
Rnd 7: Sl st next ch sp. Change color. Ch 1, 4 sc same ch sp, 4 sc each ch sp around. Sl st first sc or invisible slip stitch. FO and weave in ends. (80 sc)
