Notes:
You may need to adjust the pattern to work with the size of your yarn or plastic rings as you’ll see in the directions.
To join the rings, you can either join them as you go during round 2 of the pattern, or sew them together using a needle.
Directions:
Rnd 1: MR, 8 sc in the ring. Sl st in first sc. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (count as dc), 3 sc around the plastic ring, *dc next st in rnd 1, 3 sc around the plastic ring* repeat 7 times. (We’ll have a wheel with 8 dc)
Rnd 3: Sl st in each st around skipping all dc st (do not work in them). To finish sl st or invisible join at the end.
Adjusting the size:
The pattern I shared above maybe larger or smaller than your plastic ring and wont fit. Read how to adjust the pattern next.
– To increase the size, replace ch 3 with ch 4 and dc with tr. If you need it bigger replace ch 3 with ch 5 and dc with dtc.
– To decrease the size, replace ch 3 with ch 2 and dc with hdc.
– Increase the number of sc between the dc sts as you need. Make sure it’s the same number.
Joining the rings:
Join the rings when you work on round 2 as it’s shown in this pattern. Or sew them together using the end tail and needle.
