Materials:
Any kind of yarn with thin or medium thickness
Crochet hook
I used 1 mm thick cotton yarn with 2 mm crochet hook
Terms:
MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sc2tog – 2 single crochet together
Special terms:
Invisible slip stitch/Invisible join
Notes:
This pattern will contain 2 parts, the ghost’s body and the head stuffing. The head stuffing will be a small crochet ball.
Directions:
The ghost body:
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: *2 sc, sc* repeat 6 times. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: Sc each st. (18 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc in each of next 2 sts, *sc2tog, sc next 2 sts* repeat 4 times. (14 sc)
We’ll be making the arms next round.
Rnd 6: Sc in each of next 6 sts, ch 4, sc 2nd ch from the hook , sc next 2 sts, sc in each of next 7 sts, ch 4, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc next 2 sts, sc next st. (14 sc + 2 arms)
Rnd 7 – 8: Sc each st. (14 sc)
Rnd 9: *2 sc, sc next 2 sts* repeat 4 times, 2 sc next st, sc next st. (19 sc)
Rnd 10: *2 sc, sc next 3 sts* repeat 4 times, 2 sc next st, sc in each of next 2 sts. (24 sc)
Rnd 11: Sc each st. (24 sc)
Rnd 12: Sl st next st, *skip next st, 5 dc next st, skip next st, sl st next st* repeat 6 times. FO and weave in ends. (6 shells)
The head stuffing:
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 3 – 4: Sc each st. Stuff the ball. (12 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc2tog 6 times. Sl st next st. FO leaving about 6″ long tail. (6 sc)
Finishing:
Insirt the ball inside the ghost’s head using the needle to sew it.
You can make a small loop or attach a metallic ring on top of the head.
