As you know everybody loves hearts in all shapes or forms, that’s why today I’m teaching you how to crochet hearts coasters in two different whys. One heart if you use thick yarn or four joined hearts if your yarn is thin.

Any kind of yarn you like with suitable crochet hook (see notes)

Notes
If you use thick yarn you’ll have one large heart coaster and if you use thin to medium thickness yarn you’ll have the four small hearts coaster.
Directions
One heart coaster
Using a thick yarn make one heart following the next pattern.
Rnd 1: Ch 16, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each of next 5 sts, sc3tog, sc in each of next 5 sts, 3 sc last st. Do ot turn, working on the other side of the beginning chains, sc in each of next 6 sts, 3 sc, sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc last st.
Rnd 2: 2 sc, sc in each of next 4 sts, sc3tog, sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 7 sts, 3 sc, sc in each of next 7 sts, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts.
Rnd 3: 2 sc, sc in each next 4 sts, sc3tog, sc in each of next 3 sts, *2 sc, sc* repeat three times only, sc in each of next 8 sts, 3 sc, sc in each of next 8 sts, *2 sc, sc* repeat twice only.
Rnd 4: 2 sc, sc in each of next 4 sts, sc3tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat three times only, sc in each of next 9 sts, 3 sc, sc in each of next 9 sts, *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat twice only, sl st next st.
Rnd 5: *Ch 1, sl st next st* repeat until the end. FO and weave in ends.
Four hearts coaster
Make four individual hearts using thin to medium yarn and following next pattern.
Rnd 1-4: repeat same steps as the last pattern.
Rnd 5: Sl st FL in each st around. Invisible sl st at the end. FO and weave in ends.
Sewing
Place the four hears WS down and sew them together using a needle and piece of yarn.
Sew by inserting the needle through the BL we left in round 5.
Secure the tails and weave in ends.
