In previous posts I shared the cloud and sun amigurumi patterns, and today we have crochet amigurumi crescent moon and little stars. I’m very happy with the results I’m having and I hope you like it too.

Yarn with suitable color for the moon and crochet hook

Safety eyes or black beads
Piece of yarn for the mouth
Terms
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
Notes
For the moon
We’ll be making two layers then crochet around the edges, after that join them together with a slip stitch around.
There’ll be no ch 1 at the beginning of the rows except the first row.
For the stars
To join the two layers we’ll be using the needle and sewing around, not slip stitching.
Directions
The crescent moon
Make two pieces of the following pattern. Do not FO after the second one.
R 1: Ch 17, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc each ch until the end. (16 sc)
R 2: Turn and do not ch 1, skip the first st, sl st next st, *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat 4 times, sl st next st.
R 3: Turn and do not ch 1, skip the first st, sl st next st, *2 sc, sc in each of next 3 sts* repeat 3 times, 2 sc, sl st next st.
R 4: Turn and do not ch 1, skip the first st, sl st next st, *2 sc, sc in each of next 4 sts* repeat 3 times, sl st next st. Do not FO, complete with the edging instructions.
Edging
Do not FO and do not turn after the last row.
3 or 4 sl sts spread evenly on next edge as you see in the pic, ch 1.
Sl st in each st on next edge, ch 1.
5 sl sts spread evenly on next small edge.
Sl st in first sl st of row 4. FO and weave in all ends of the first piece.
Repeat the same steps for the second piece but do not FO after crocheting around the edges.
Joining and finishing
Attach the eye and sew the mouth.
Place the second piece of the moon on top of the first one making sure the right side of each is facing out.
Start joining using slip stitches by using the inner loops of the stitches.
Stuff the moon before the end.
FO and weave in all ends. Your moon is done.
The stars
Make two pieces of the following pattern.
Rnd 1: MR, 5 sc.
Rnd 2: *sl st next st, ch 4, sl st 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat 5 times, sl st at the end of the pattern. FO leaving long tail after one piece for sewing.
Joining
Place the two piece together right side out. Use the needle and tail to sew around the edges. FO and weave in ends.
