Today I’m sharing a new pattern of my new collection. This is crochet amigurumi sun that is easy and cute if you add eyes and some features.

Any kid of yarn that suits amigurumi with crochet hook
Stuffing
Safety eyes or any kind of eyes for amigurumi

st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain

Invisible slip stitch/Invisible join
Notes
The pattern contains two parts, the sun and the sun rays (6 sun rays)
Directions
Part one: The sun
Make two pieces of the following pattern. Do not FO after the second one and complete with the joining instructions.
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: *2 sc, sc* repeat. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat. (24 sc)
Rnd 5: *2 sc, sc in each of next 3 sts* repeat. (30 sc)
Rnd 6: *2 sc, sc in each of next 4 sts* repeat. Sl st at the end of the pattern. (36 sc)
FO and weave in end the first piece. Do not FO the second piece and follow next instructions.
Joining
Attach the eyes and sew the mouth on the right side of one of the pieces.
Place the two layers together RS out.
Start joining by slip stitching around using the inner loops only.
Stuff as you go.
Sl st at the end to close the work or use the invisible slip stitch.
Part two: The sun rays
Make 6 pieces of the following pattern.
Rnd 1: MR, 3 sc in the ring. (3 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc each st. (6 sc)
Rnd 3: Sc in each st. (6 sc)
Rnd 4: *2 sc, sc* repeat. (9 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc in each st. (90 sc)
Rnd 6: *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat. (12 sc)
Rnd 7: Sc in each st around, sl st at the end or use the invisible sl st. FO leaving long tail for sewing. (12 sc)
Joining
Use the needle and tail of each ray to sew it to the round sun.
You can use sum pins to secure it while sewing.
Note: I didn’t stuff the sun rays but you can if yours is large.
Weave in all ends.
