Today’s pattern will be crochet cherries used as accessories. You’ll notice that I used it to decorate my gifts. The good thing about it that it can be reused as accessories for your bag keys. It’s very easy to make. You’ll need two colors, one for the cherries and the other for the leaves. For small results use thin yarn\thread.

Materials:
Thin cotton yarn/thread two colors red and green
Crochet hook with suitable size for your yarn or thread
Stuffing
Needle for sewing and weaving in ends
Keychain or metallic ring (optional)
Terms:
MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
sc2tog – 2 single crochet together
Notes:
We’ll be making the cherries, branches and leaf separately then sewing them together in the final step.
Make sure there are no gaps between your cherries stitches so the stuffing well not show through. Use smaller hook if that happened.
Directions:
Cherries: Make two.
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc each st. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: *2 sc next st, sc next st* repeat 6 times. (18 sc)
Rnd 4-6: Sc each st. (18 sc)
Rnd 7: *Sc2tog, sc* repeat 6 times. Stuff the cherry. (12 sc)
Rnd 8: Sc2tog 6 times until the end of the round. FO leaving 4-5″ long tail. Don’t weave in ends yet. (6 sc)
Branches:
*Ch 11, sl st 2nd ch from hook, sl st the next chains, you’ll have 10 sl sts* Don’t FO, repeat one more time.
FO leaving 6-8″ long tail. Don’t weave in ends yet.
Leaf:
Ch 5, sc 2nd ch from hook, (hdc, dc) next st, (dc, hdc) next st, sc last st. FO and weave in ends.
Finishing:
* Use the cherries tails to sew them to the branches as you see in the pic.
* Use the branches tail to sew the leaf and make a long loop or attach it to a keychain or metallic ring. Weave in ends.
