Today we have this cute little crochet gifts box. We can use for gifts or store accessories. I used 6 large plastic rings for the box to make it stable.

Cotton yarn with suitable crochet hook
I used Pamuklu Bebe yarn with 3.5 crochet hook
Needl
6 large plastic rings that is under water bottle cap

st – stitch

Invisible slip stitch/Invisible join
Notes:
We’ll be using 6 squares for the box, square one pattern for the bottom and the lid. square two pattern for the sides.
Directions:
Square one pattern
This square is simple. Make two for the bottom and lid. Use the first color.
Rnd 1: MR, ch 2 (not st), 12 dc in the ring, sl st first dc. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (not st), 2 dc same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st first dc. (24 dc)
Rnd 3: We’ll work in round 2’s sts and around the plastic ring at the same time.
Ch 1, sc same st, 2 sc, hdc, [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] next st. *hdc, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, hdc, [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] next st* repeat between the * 3 times. Hdc, 2 sc, sl st in first sc or use the invisible sl st. FO and weave in ends.
Square two pattern
Make 4 squares for the sides. We’ll be using two colors.
Rnd 1: Color one. MR, ch 2 (not st), 12 dc in the ring, change to color two leaving color one at the back, sl st first dc. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, [sl st FL of next st, ch 1] repeat between the brackets until the end of the round. Sl st through two loops of the first sl st or use the invisible sl st. FO and weave in ends.
Rnd 3: We’ll be working in BL that we left in round 2. Pick up color one, sl st BL of next st, ch 1, 2 hdc same BL, 2 hdc in each BL of next sts until the end of the round. Sl st in first hdc. (24 hdc)
Rnd 4: We’ll be working in round 3 and around the plastic ring at the same time.
Ch 1, sc same st, 2 sc, hdc, [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] next st. *hdc, 2 sc, sc, 2 sc, hdc, [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] next st* repeat between the * 3 times. Hdc, 2 sc, sl st in first sc or use the invisible sl st. FO and weave in ends.
The flower pattern
Make one flower using the second color and this pattern.
Joining the squares to make the box
Notes (important)
• We’ll use slip stitch to join the squares together using the inner loop of each square.
• The corners’s chains count as sts.
• To work in the corners, sl st first ch, ch 1, sl st second ch.
• I used the second color to join the bottom and top squares to the sides, and used the first color to join the sides.
Joining the squares
• Using the second color, join the side’s squares to the bottom one by slip stitching through the inner loops.
• Remember to count the corner’s chains as stitches adding one chain in between.
• After finishing the bottom, FO and weave in ends.
• Using first color, join the sides together. FO and weave in ends after each side.
• Using the second color, sl st around the upper edge of the box without joining it to anything (three sides only). Do not FO.
• When you reach the forth side join the lid by ch 1, sl st in the inner loops as usual. Do not FO.
• Now ch 1, sl st around the remaining three sides of the lid (without joining).
• FO and weave in ends. Sew the flower on top of the lid. Your box is done.
