I like diamond shape and I finally manged to design one. Today I’m using it to make a small round doily and next time I’ll try another shape. I hope you like it.

Directions
Rnd 1: MR, ch 2 (not st), 12 dc, sl st first dc. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (not st), 2 dc same st, 2 dc each st, sl st first dc. (24 dc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc same st, sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc, [hdc, dc] next st, dc, [dc, hdc] next st, 2 sc, sc in each of next 7 sts, 2 sc, [hdc, dc] next st, dc, [dc, hdc] next st, 2 sc, sc in each of next 3 sts, sl st first sc.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, [sc, ch 2, sc] same st, sc in each of next 6 sts, [hdc, dc] next st, [dc, ch 2, dc] next st, [dc, hdc] next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, [sc, ch 2, sc] next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, [hdc, dc] next st, [dc, ch 2, dc] next st, [dc, hdc] next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, sl st first sc.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc same st, [sc, ch 2, sc] next ch sp, sc in each of next 9 sts, [hdc, dc] next st, [dc, ch 3, dc] next ch sp, [dc, hdc] next st, sc in each of next 9 sts, [sc, ch 2, sc] next ch sp, sc in each of next 9 sts, [hdc, dc] next st, [dc, ch 3, dc] next ch sp, [dc, hdc] next st, sc in each of next 8 sts, sl st first sc. FO and weave in all ends. You can use the invisible sl st if you like.
Joining and Edging
* I used 3 granny diamonds to make it.
* To join I used the slip stitch by inserting the hook in the outer loops of each diamond (the diamonds are RS up)
* To make the edging I used slip stitches and the picot st around ( sl st next 2 sts, picot ) repeat until the end.
