Crochet pattern for a little basket to collect your pins and needles for easy reach and store. The pattern contains two pieces the basket and the lid, we’ll sew them together.

Materials:
Medium thickness yarn, two colors. I used 3 mm thick yarn
Crochet hook with size that works with your yarn. I used 5 mm hook
Needle for sewing the pieces together
Stuffing
Terms:
MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
BL – back loop only
FL – front loop only
Directions:
The Basket:
R 1: MR, ch 3 (count as dc), 11 dc, sl st in 3rd ch from the hook. (12 dc)
R 2: Ch 3 (count as dc), dc same st, 2 sc in each st around. Sl st in 3rd ch from the hook. (24 dc)
R 3: Ch 1, sc BL in each st around. Sl st in first st to join. (24 sc)
R 4: Ch 1, (sc next 5 sts, 2 sc next st) 4 times. Sl st in first st to join. (28 sc)
R 5: Ch 1, sc, sc, 2 sc next st, (sc next 6 sts, 2 sc next st) 3 times, sc next 4 sts, sl st in first st to join. (32 sc)
R 6: Ch 1, (sc next 7 sts, 2 sc next st) 4 times, sl st in first st to join. (36 sc)
R 7: Ch 1, sc next 7 sts, ch 6, skip next 4 sts, sc next 14 sts, ch 6, skip next 4 sts, sc next 7 sts, sl st in first st to join.
R 8: Sl st FL next 6 sts, 8 sc in next ch 6 space, sl st FL next 14 sts, 8 sc in next ch 6 space, sl st FL next 7 sts, sl st in first st to join. FO leaving long tail to sew the lid to the basket.
The Lid:
R 1 – 3: Same as the basket.
R 4: Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in first st to join. FO.
Finishing:
Stuff the inside of the lid (don’t over stuff) then put it inside the basket. Use the basket tail we left to sew them together.
