Crochet Apple – Applique Coaster

Crochet apple coaster that is very easy to make and cute on the table. I’m going to share other fruits on the future.

Materials:

Thick yarn with suitable crochet hook
Needle

Terms:

MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet

Special terms:

Invisible slip stitch/Invisible join (optional).

Directions:

Apple

Rnd 1: MR, ch 3 (count as dc), 11 dc in the ring, sl st 3rd ch. (12 dc)

Rnd 2: Ch 3 (count as dc), dc same st, 2 dc in each st until the end, sl st 3rd ch. (24 dc)

Rnd 3: Ch 3 (count as dc), dc same st, dc, *2 dc, dc* repeat until the end of the round, sl st 3rd ch. (36 dc)

Rnd 4: *Sl st, sc, 2 hdc, dc, 2 dc, 2 dc, dc, 2 hdc, sc* repeat twice only, sl st in each of next 7 sts, *sc, 2 hdc, sc* repeat twice only, sl st in each of next 5 sts. FO and weave in ends.

Leaf and branch

Do not FO until the end.

Leaf: Ch 8, sl st 2nd ch from the hook, sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sc sl st ch 1, do not turn.

Working on the other side of the beginning chs, sl st, sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sc, sl st, sl st next ch (which is the one before the first sl st of the leaf).

Do not FO.

Branch: Ch 12, sl st 2nd ch from the hook, sl st in each of next sts until the end. Do not FO.

Joining: Sc same st we did the center sl st that located on top of the apple. FO and weave in ends.
