Crochet Spool of Thread Amigurumi
Directions
The pattern will split in three parts. One is the circles at the top and bottom of the spool. The other part is the spool itself.
The Circles
Make two of the following pattern using a different color from the spool and thread.
Rnd 1: MR, 8 sc. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st. (16 sc)
Rnd 3: *2 sc, sc* repeat until the end of the round. Sl st or invisible sl st. FO and weave in ends. Complete the following.
Surface crochet
Work the surface crochet using the same color starting from the center and working in same rounds until you reach last st. You can see in the pics I used different color to make more visible. At the end weave in ends.
The spool
Use same color you choose for the thread.
Rnd 1: MR, ch 2 (not st), 12 dc, sl st first dc. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, we’ll be working this round using BL+BBL together (see notes). Sc in each st around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: Working in normal loops now, sc in each st around. (12 sc)
Rnd 4 – 9: Repeat round 3, sl st at the end of the pattern. FO.
Sewing the parts
Stuff the spool.
Using the needle sew the the end of the spool to one of the circles.
Sew the other circle to the other end of the spool.
Using same color as the spool, warp the yarn around the spool just to cover the stitches and make more as a spool of thread.
Cut the yarn and weave it.
The spool is done!
