In this pattern we’ll learn how to crochet waves stitch with a seam. This stitch can be used to make blankets, clothes, throws or cushions in any size you like.

st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
BL – back loop only
FL – front loop only
Notes:
This pattern can be adjusted by crocheting more beginning chains and more rows.
The beginning chains should be multiple of 8 + 1
You can use more than one color.
Directions:
Row 1: Number of chains multiple of 8 + 1. Sc 2nd ch from the hook, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc, *sc, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc* repeat until the end of the row.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sl st BL each st until the end of row.
Row 3: All sts in this row will be worked in the FL we left from the previous row. Ch 1, turn, sl st, ch 3 (does NOT count as st), tr same st, dc, hdc, sc, sc, hdc, dc, tr, *tr, dc, hdc, sc, sc, hdc, dc, tr* repeat until the end of the row.
Row 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: All sts in this row will be worked in the FL we left from the previous row. Ch 1, turn, *sc, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc* repeat until the end of the row.
Remaining rows: Repeat from row 2 to 5. You can end your work with row 3 or 5. Do not FO.
Edging:
Do not turn. Ch 1, sc evenly across the first line. Do not turn.
Sl st each st next line. Do not turn.
Sc evenly across the next line. Do not turn.
Sl st FL in each st of next line. FO and weave in ends.
