Starting today I’m going to release a new group of crochet bubble stitch Arabic letters every week. You’ll find a written instructions and a pdf file with the diagram to make each letter. Today’ll have the first 5 letters of the Arabic alphabet.

Crocheting around the edges
After finishing the squares you may want to crochet around the edges for more sleek look. Before you start edging make sure the bubbles are facing you. Ch 1 and crochet sc in each st and each row edge. Ch 1 after you finish each line of the square and before moving to the other line. Sl st at the end.
Note: Do not crochet around the edges if you’re going to join the squares together to make a blanket or a throw.

This is the written instructions for the first 5 letters of the Arabic Alphabet (أ – ب – ت – ث – ج – ح – خ)
Alif / أ
R 1: Ch 20, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each st.
R 2: Ch 1, sc in each st.
R 3: Ch 1, sc in each of next 9 sts, bubble st, sc in each of next 9 sts.
R 4: Repeat R 2
R 5: Repeat R 3
R 6: Repeat R 2
R 7: Repeat R 3
R 8: Repeat R 2
R 9: Repeat R 3
R 10 – 12: Repeat R 2
R 13: Ch 1, sc in each of next 7 sts, *bubble st, sc* repeat 3 times, sc in each of next 6 sts.
R 14: Repeat R 2
R 15: Repeat R 3
R 16: Repeat R 4
R 17: Ch 1, sc in each of next 11 sts, bubble st, sc in each of next 7 sts.
