Very beautiful crochet cup holder that is also very easy than you’d imagine. I used surface crochet to decorate the holder surface and the result as you see is very nice.

Notes
I’ll be using surface crochet to decorate the holder. You can see some pics of how it’s made here.
Directions
We’ll be crocheting a rectangular in a size that fits your cup.
R 1: Crochet an odd number of chains the height of your holder which is the short edge of the rectangular. Sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc each st.
R 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.
Remaining rows: Repeat row 2 until you reach the size of your holder which needs to be shorter by an inch than your cup circumference. Do not FO.
Row before last: Ch 1, sc in each st until you reach the middle, number of chains to make the button loops, check on your cup before you complete. Complete working sc in the remaining sts.
Last row: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st, do not work in the chains loop we made. FO and weave in ends.
Surface Crochet
Use different colors to crochet on the surface of the holder around the edges as you see in the pics. Change color in each round. FO and wave in all ends.
Finishing
Sew the button and you’re done!
