Today we’re using the “Bubble stitch Arabic letters” in a new project and it’ll be a crochet cup holder.

Medium thickness yarn with suitable crochet hook (2 colors)

Notes
This pattern contain two parts, one is letter piece which we crochet separately and then start crocheting the holder (second piece) to the side of the letter.
Directions
Bubble stitch Arabic letters
Crochet a letter of your choice using the pattern in this page.
You can increase or decrease the sc around the letter as I did to letter Alif (see pic)
FO and weave in ends after you finish the letter.
Cup holder
1. Hold the letter right side up and start joining the new color to beginning of the side, sl st BBL in first st. (see pic)
2. Ch 1, sc BBL same st, sc BBL in each st until the end of the row.
3. Ch 1, turn, sc BL in each st until the end of the row.
4. Repeat step (3) until you reach the size of your cup.
5. To join to the other side of the letter we’ll be using sl st as shown in next step.
6. Insert the hook in both loops of the working piece then insert the hook in BBL of the other side of the letter as you see in the pic.
7. Repeat until you close the side.
8. FO and weave in all ends.
