Notes
We’re going to use the picot stitch which is ch 3 then sl st 3rd ch from the hook.
We’re going to use the puff stitch YO 3 times.
Directions
Rnd 1: Ch 21, sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each st, 3 sc last st, do not turn, we’re going to work on the other side of the beginning chs, sc in each st, 2 sc last st. (42 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc, sc in each of next 18 sc, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 18 sts, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts. (48 sc)
Rnd 3: 2 sc, sc in each of next 19 sts, *2 sc, sc* repeat 3 times, sc in each of next 18 sts, *2 sc, sc* repeat 2 times. (54 sc)
Rnd 4: 2 sc, sc in each of next 20 sts, *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat 3 times, sc in each of next 18 sts, *2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sts* repeat 2 times. (60 sc)
Rnd 5 – 7: Sc in each st. (60 sc)
Rnd 8: Sl st next st, ch 2, puff st same st, puff st in each st until the end of the round, sl st in first puff st. (60 puff st)
Rnd 9: Sc between each two puff sts, repeat until the end of the round. (60 sc)
Rnd 10 – 12: Sc in each st. (60 sc)
Rnd 13: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 8 sts* repeat 6 times. (54 sc)
Rnd 14 – 15: Sc in each st until the end of the round. (54 sc)
Rnd 16: Repeat round 8. (54 puff st)
Rnd 17: Repeat round 9. (54 sc)
Rnd 18 – 19: Sc in each st until the end of the round. (54 sc)
Rnd 20: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 7 sts* repeat 6 times. (48 sc)
Rnd 21 – 22: Sc in each st until the end of the round. (48 sc)

Rnd 25: Sc in each of next 2 sts, sl st next st, TURN,
*Skip next 2 sts, [3 dc, picot, 3 dc] BL of next st, skip next 2 sts, sl st BL next st* repeat 7 times, sl st both loops next st. FO leaving long tail for sewing.
Finishing
Use the needle and remaining tail to sew the flaring tips of the triangles to the bag.
Cut a new piece of yarn and use it to sew the snap button in the center of the bag opining.
