In this pattern we’ll learn a very new way to use the puff stitch we now. We’ll use it in a different way that in the end it’ll resemble a rope or a cord. It can be made to any size and it’s perfect for cushions.

MR – Magic ring
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
Puff st – Puff stitch (we’ll use YO once for first round and YO 3 times for the rest)
FP puff st – Front post puff stitch
Special terms
Invisible slip stitch/Invisible join at the end of the pattern (optional)
Notes
You can make this circle any size you like.
We’ll be increasing 12 times each round that has even number (round 2, 4, 6, 8… etc)
The increasing stitches will be double crochet not puff stitches.
The double crochet stitches will be worked between the stitches not in them.
Directions
Rnd 1: MR, ch 3 (not st), 12 puff stitch (YO once for each), sl st first puff st.
Note: YO 3 times for each of next puff stitches in the pattern.
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (not st), *FP puff st, dc between stitches* repeat until the end of the round, sl st first puff stitch.
Rnd 3: Ch 2 (not st), FP puff st each st including dc stitches, sl st first puff st.
Rnd 4: Ch 2 (not st), *FP puff st, dc between stitches, puff st next st* repeat until the end of the round, sl st first puff stitch.
Rnd 5: Ch 2 (not st), FP puff st each st including dc stitches, sl st first puff st.
Rnd 6: Ch 2 (not st), *FP puff st, dc between stitches, puff st in each of next 2 st* repeat until the end of the round, sl st first puff stitch.
Rnd 7: Ch 2 (not st), FP puff st each st including dc stitches, sl st first puff st.
Rnd 8: Ch 2 (not st), *FP puff st, dc between stitches, puff st in each of next 3 st* repeat until the end of the round, sl st first puff stitch.
Remaining rounds: Repeat same steps increasing in each even number rounds (see notes) until you reach the size you like. FO and weave in ends.
