Crochet masquerade mask for parties. Very unique design and actually easy to make. You need two plastic rings for the eye opining.

Materials
Yarn (2 – 3) colors with suitable crochet hook
Use something similar to alize cotton gold plus with 4 mm crochet hook
Needle
2 plastic rings (you can find it under the water bottle cap, it’s about 5 cm diameter)

sl st – slip stitch

sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
P – Picot stitch (ch 3, sl st 3rd ch from the hook)

Directions
The mask contain two separate pieces then join together and worked around them at the same time. After that we add in the side strands.
First piece
Rnd 1: 36 sc around the plastic ring. (36 sc)
Rnd 2: *2 sc, sc in each of next 5 sts* repeat 6 times, sl st at the end of the round. (42 sc)
Rnd 3: *Skip next 2 sts, 7 dc next st, skip next 2 sts, sl st next st* repeat 5 times only. (5 shells + empty space)
FO and weave in ends.
Second Piece
Repeat same steps as the first piece but do NOT FO and complete working next steps.
Joining the two pieces
* We can change the color at this step or keep the same one.
* Sl st in each of next 6 sts same piece.
* Working in the other piece, skip next 6 sts, sl st in each of next 6 sts.
* We’ll work in the same piece’s shell as shown next.
* Sl st in each of next 3 sts, [sl st, picot, sl st] next st, sl st in each of next 4 sts.
* Repeat last step for each shell in same piece until we reach the empty space.
* Sl st in each of next 6 sts.
* We’ll start working in the other piece now.
* Sl st in each of next 6 sts.
* We’ll work in the shells as we did before.
* Sl st in each of next 3 sts, [sl st, picot, sl st] next st, sl st in each of next 4 sts.
* Repeat last step for each shell.
* FO and weave in ends.
Surface Crochet
Start decorating your pieces with surface crochet if you like (optional).
Side Strands
Join the yarn with sl st in the side picot stitch, then work about 62 chains or more as you need. FO and you don’t need to weave in last end.
Repeat same steps for the other strand and you’re finished.
